John Longmire

Executive Director of Club Performance
John Longmire is a premiership winning coach of the Sydney Swans, and the club’s longest-serving coach. Under Longmire’s leadership Sydney reached the AFL finals 12 times, played in five Grand Finals and achieved the ultimate success by winning the 2012 AFL premiership. Alongside Roos, Longmire also played a key role in the drought-breaking 2005 premiership win.
John is the epitome of sustained high performance and in 2025 he steps into a new role as Executive Director of Club Performance.
